Talk In Code
Over the years, I’ve made a number of videos for the Swindon based band, Talk In Code. I first met the guys when I used to play in a band called Relik. We played a number of gigs together in the late 00’s.
I actually met Mark first, back in 2001 when we both studied Music A Level at Reading College, when he played in the Reading based band, Sand Creek Massacre. I then met TIC’s former keyboard player, Stuart around the same time I met the Chris and the others.
The videos I’ve made for them are:
- Face To Face
- Talk Like That
- Young Love’s Dream
- Something Of Nothing
- All In
InMe
Whilst touring with InMe in the earlier 00’s, I filmed a lot of behind-the-scenes footage. I first made some behind-the-scenes videos for their songs 7Weeks and So You Know from their second album, White Butterfly. I travelled to Canada with them to make a ‘tour’ video of the weekend. We left London on Friday, filmed all day Saturday (about 18 hours straight) doing both videos, they did some press for Kerrang! on Sunday and arrived back in London on Monday morning! Very tiring, but a lot of fun! These were included on the 7Weeks DVD single, which reached number 36 in the Official UK Singles charts.
Later that year, I filmed them live on their XFM radio session and some behind-the-scenes stuff of their shows at Mean Fiddler and The Astoria in London. My videos were included on the InMe: Butterfly Caught DVD.
I also made the main promo videos for their singles Safe In A Room and Otherwise, which both featured on MTV, Kerrang! TV and Scuzz TV.
Videos I did for them:
- 7Weeks (behind-the-scenes)
- So You Know (behind-the-scenes)
- Safe In A Room
- Otherside
- Live At The Astoria (behind-the-scenes)
- Live At Mean Fiddler
- Just A Glimpse (Live of XFM)
- Faster The Chase (Live on XFM)
No Good Sons
I’ve done a few videos for the Newbury rock band No Good Sons. My first recollection of meeting any of them was when Mike used to work at MVC. I remember him selling me Oasis - (What’s The Story?) Morning Glory the week it came out - the first album I ever bought myself!
I later met Ken and the others when he asked me to do a couple of videos for them, which we filmed at Queen Mary’s College in Basingstoke and Studio 91 in Newbury.
I also filmed their live acoustic gig at The Globe in Newbury, which became part of another video for them.
Videos I’ve made for them:
- My Demise
- Rollin’ Around
- Sin Reprisal
