The Story of
Peter Brand Films
I've been playing with video cameras as far back as I can remember. I've always loved capturing life on video. Initially filming family holidays, I was then inspired by my grandfather and the way he would edit together his holiday videos to send back to us from Abu Dhabi, where he lived at the time. When he moved back to England, he had a little VHS video editing setup in his shed, which I would occasionally help him with. That was my first introduction to the idea of editing.

In 1998, my dad was managing Stereophonics and they were just about to release their single 'Pick A Part That's New' from their second album, 'Performance and Cocktails'. Of course, they needed a video for the promotion of the single. I was only 12 at the time, but I went along to the set in London and helped out by carrying the guitars around a bit. That was the start of my love for music videos.
After school, I studied Media Btec at Reading College and then Film & Media A Level at Newbury College. A couple of years later, I then studied a Final Cut Pro Editing For Film course at the Met Film School at Ealing Studios in London. Then later, I studied a BA (Hons) degree in Music Technology & Video Production at the University of West London.

Throughout my career as a videographer and editor, I’ve collaborated with a diverse range of brands, artists, and businesses - from globally recognised names to local SMEs.

Music artists such as Stereophonics, InMe, Lacuna Coil, Kula Shaker, Howard Jones and more. Big car names like BMW and Hyundai, as well as a lot of filming of Lamborghini's with the GrigioGT channel.

I've also collaborated with SME's such as MSL, Arkleys, Street Food Shack, Bridezilla and other media companies such as Adrenaline Studios, Dub Juniors and Berkshire Media.

I've also had the chance to work with a few actors from some big movies, including Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean / The Office) on a movie called Abraham's Point, also featuring Christian McKay, Joseph Millson and Stuart Cable. I edited some podcasts with Theo Somulu (Mufasa: The Lion King) and Isabella Nightingale Mercado (Barbie). Additionally, I directed Hannaj Bang Benz (I Am Rage / Primal Games) in one of my university films too.
I've always loved filmmaking, whether it's fictional, factual, social media reels, music videos, promos or anything else, give me a camera and a computer and I'm happy!
